Kurt Rockwell Endorsed by the Desert Area Teachers Association

From the News-Review, September 20, 2006:

To the Editor:

The Desert Area Teachers Association is pleased to formally endorse Mr. Kurt Rockwell in his bid for the Sierra Sands Unified School District Board of Education Seat.

In the elections scheduled to be held on Nov. 7 this year, DATA urges all registered voters to cast their ballots for Mr. Rockwell. He is the only candidate who will be receiving our support during this election. Mr. Rockwell has an excellent Website that states his positions, philosophy, and intent. Please fell free to view his ideas at http://voterockwell.com.

Kurt Rockwell for SSUSD Board website goes live!

Kurt and his advisors have developed this site to communicate his views to the public. Rockwell says, "It's very difficult for everyone interested in the educational system in the area to meet all of the candidates and learn how they stand on the issues facing the district. With so many critical issues ahead of us, I wanted a way for more people to learn more about me as easily as possible. I feel this is a good way for people to get to know me and my views a little better, although I am still very happy to speak with people directly face-to-face, on the phone or via email."
Rockwell can be reached via the contact page on his website at www.voterockwell.com, by phone at 760-382-9287, or via email at kurt@voterockwell.com.

Rockwell at Maturango Junction 2006

October 21, 2006 marks the 30th annual Maturango Junction. It is a wonderful community event with live music, great food, and many other exhibits. Kurt will be in a booth (watch here for the booth number). He will have literature and buttons to give away. More importantly, he wants to speak with anyone who has concerns about the issues facing our School District. Stop by anytime between 9 am and 5 pm to ask questions, discuss issues, offer advice. All will be appreciated. Don't vote on name recognition alone, get to know the candidates!
